Remember this CL55 AMG??

Whose was it then ?

Would that not be worth one of the MB independants buying?
Lot of car for £4k (maybe less) for someone with the expertise.
Colin.

i got a engine! lol

Very cheap way into AMG for someone who's handy, that

The dude is a scam artist, different things are wrong in the 2 postings....

piston heads
The reason for this car being so cheap is because there is a suspect head gasket gone, it overheated because the fan didnt work, my freind got the fan fixed and it seemed fine after, but about a month after it started to misfire and lose water, now wont start at all so will need to be trailered

ebay
The two main things are:

1- The boot lid needs some bodywork repair where I backed in to my garage (picture included). Estimate £250 to fix properly.

2- The front right corner has a squeek in the suspension which you can hear at low speeds. The exact same problem occurred on the front left corner around 30k miles ago and was cheap to fix (around £100 if memory serves).

I don't think thats cheap at all, 151k on the clock, year 2000 model? It's probably not worth much more that that without the HG problems.

There's at least 2K worth of head work needed, maybe more, you have to do both banks to be sure it's sorted....

Ahh but the plot thickens, I don't believe this car is actually a genuine CL55, it has the wrong body kit. This car has a CL500 front bumper, CL500 skirts, CL500 Rear bumper, the only "AMG" parts look to be the engine cover and boot badges. HTH
