remote boot opening

Hey all
On my key I have the option to open the boot seperatly. This does not work unless I unlock all doors. Any ideas welcome.

Try unlocking the boot with the key, shut, then try again with the remote.

I wondered that, but then thought perhaps they just release the catch. Obviously they don't shoot open like the saloons because of the weight.

Isnt this to prevent the alarm going off? if the boot opened with the doors locked and you throw somthing into the cabin the alarm would sound.
