How easy is it to remove the airbox on a facelift W202? I wanna replace it with something more impressive and was just wondering if I'd have a tough time taking it out.

The air box on a w202 is ample for most motors. Just change your air filter to a Greens or K and N one for better throttle response (and worse economy!)

BTW Your insurance renewal is going to be fun isnt it;)

Have heard stories of the oil on K and N filters eventually screwing your MAS so be warned :( :( Maybe others who have done this would like to comment.

Well aware of MAS failure, well aware merc airbox does a good job, also well aware that an induction kit sounds damn awesome and Koolvin fitted one with no probs. :P

How do I get the bottom helf of the box out of the bonnet after removing the top and the filter?

I think it just pulls up out of the rubber grommits.

It's sorta connected to the forced air induction pipe... I don't wanna start pulling things apart in case I break something but do I have to disconnect this first?

Pluggers is right, the airbox will just lift out the rubber grommits. Very easy to take out.

IMHO I would leave the airbox in place, If I could modify the original MB airbox to fit my Turbo then I would... hang on a sec I feel a mod comming up!
