A dad has been left 'horrified' to find the reason for the mysterious scratches on his new car bonnet was his own son clearing the snow with a shovel. Humphrey Grimmett was shocked when he reviewed CCTV from outside his Buckinghamshire house.

I had a friend of mine just got his car resprayed and he was doing the first wash on it, he walked round the front of the car and cought his 3 year old grand daughter copying him washing it but instead of using a microfibre she had a rock, there were so many scratches!

I nearly had a similar albeit less drastic situation. I was washing the wheels on my old E Class and my middle one (about 3 at the time) was about the dry the wheels with a stone from the driveway. I rapidly deterred her and gave her a microfibre haha
