HI ALL, I AM GOING TO TAKE OUT THE TCM [transmission control module] FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IN MY E230 W210 TO CHECK FOR TRANSMISSION FLUID, AS I AM LEAD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THE ONE THAT GETS CONTAMINATED WITH FLUID? COMING UP FROM THE ELECTRICAL PLUG AT THE GEARBOX [AM I RIGHT?]

BUT WHAT I NEED TO KNOW, IS THERE A CERTAIN WAY TO DO IT OR CAN I JUST UNPLUG IT AND TAKE IT OUT WITHOUT CAUSING ANY PROBLEMS ETC..

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT, THANKS...

cheers blackc55, do i need to disconect the battery?
also, am i right that the tcm that can get floded with transmission fluid is the one in the passengers side of the engine bay? under the black plastic cover
thanks alot mate..
