Replacing c238 seatbelt

I've just replaced my c238 driver side seatbelt and have noticed that it doesn't retract as much as my other one? There seems to be a bit of belt left on the floor and doesn't fully retract back. Is there some calibration that i need to do or a step i've missed?

car is an e class coupe 2019.
