Cost £790 plus VAT in the end, with £450 odd being supply and fit front and rear brake pads and front discs. Oil £117 though!
Have to say, at 40,000 my service costs total is now £1100 plus VAT with 13,000 until the next one. Cheaper than I thought it would be when I bought the car. 2.75p per mile excluding tyres.
Done by MB of Oxford and service was unbeleiveable. They seem to have changed their service levels - was met at the showroom door by a chap with clipboard acting like a maitre d at a restaurant. Shown to a table with flowers and sweets and brochures and introduced to my service advisor who looked after the process through the day, including the 350 ML courtesy car with 2000m.
Courtesy call during the day to get confirmation of the brakes work required.
Same maitre d process when I went to collect at the end of the day.
First class and bettrer than the bun fight that used to be typical.
