Hi I am thinking of trying to fit ESP on my c180 w202 has anyone else done this or is there just too much work involved. I have found three mercs in the local scrap yard with it on them, I am going to fit a set of electic heated seats to my car and maybe a set of folding mirrors as well and may put upgraded brkes from an E class on as well but will have to see about that one. If anyone has any info on how to do these it would help alot thanks Derick.

Heated seats and folding mirrors are really a very straight forward retro fits, I have done both of these fits and others numerous times. Retro fitting ESP, forget it far to much work and far to many unknowns, if your car is 1997 or earlier you will have to completely replace the ABS system, this will include the rear hubs, you,ll have to also fit the BAS system, potentially needing to replace master cylinder and servo, and either have to fit a CAN bus system or splice into your existing CAN bus system at least two system ECUs possibly more, that and numerous Yaw and acceleration sensors, new brake light switch, steering wheel clock spring then the ESP system will have to integrate with your cars current engine ECU, these are only the things I can think just off the top of my head.
All things are possible I suppose Good Luck.

Thanks Andy I think I will leave the ESP and just get a really good set of tyres and use alittle less of a heavy foot lol.
