Hi, I want to fit some after market reversing detectors to my 2000 C202 estate,Dont really want to remove the bumper! have been caught out before drilling only to find brackets etc in the way.does anybody have the dimensions of where to drill?? is very difficult to see from rear of bumper......
Has anyone had lpg conversion done on these vehicles and if so your views would be appriciated...Obviously the very latest system will be fitted (Italian)
your help on both these subjects will be much appriciated.

I think it will be quite difficult to do without removing the bumper first. There is a metal inner bumper support with foam padding in there.
Have a look at a few tow bar web sites for fitting instructions, these may give you a guide to a feasible place for the sensors.
Good luck.

I had MB after-market rear sensors fitted (by MB) they were fitted to the trim lip below the bumper, easily accessible, no need to remove anything :)

Hello,

Several years ago my dad had a C200 estate auto and had that converted to LPG he had a donut tank where the spare wheel went. It drove very well, did approx 50mpg equivalent (gas range was approx 200 miles from the 50L tank).

Reversing sensors, I fitted these to my ML, had to pull bumper away slightly but did not take it off, they work a treat.
