Reversed into bollard-calcite white-go to Mercedes to fix or local garage??

Is it a case of you get what you pay for??

Annoyingly reversed straight into a bollard taken scuffs paint right through to the base-neighbour also said it looks like I've knocked the bumper out of line. Said replacing parts and labour won't cost much but the paint-calcite white- is expensive.

Should I just go direct to Mercedes or anyone have any ideas where I could go? Based in London, family in midlands so could travel...

Most (though not all) dealers simply send the car to a local garage anyway, then charge a fee on top of what the body shop billed them...

I would look for a reputable body shop and not go to an MB dealer for this repair.

Others here may recommend one.

I'd agree with what Mark says... most dealerships no longer have the luxury of their own Bodyshop but outsource the work.

Might be worth asking your local MB dealer to see who they use and then search online for first hand customer experiences with that bodyshop.

Ahh that's a good point ... never had a leased car, but yes that may well have a bearing on your decision.

If the repair is done properly and it is leased they wouldn't know so save the money. If you own the car that would be an entirely different matter.

The bumper cover may just need loosening off and repositioning so you could just get a smart repair done on the scuff.
