Very sorry to learn that Elisabeth Sladen, aka Sarah Jane Smith of Doctor Who fame, died today.

I'm of the age when I remember her alongside Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker.. the golden age of Doctor Who, IMO. It was good to see her back on screen in the "new" Doctor Who episodes, too.

RIP Liz.

That's sad. I had forgotten about her completely, but the kids were watching some series starring her as "Sarah Jane" this week on CBBC.

Similar situation - kids very sad this morning when hearing this on the news. They love the Sarah Jane Mysteries (and I remember the old days)
