Hi
My indi mechanic has just replaced the rocker cover and gasket due to an oil
leak on our 155k 2014 c220 cdi estate.
We’ve had Mercedes services for 6 of the last 7 yrs and other than it started dripping oil on the drive it runs beautifully.
Having finished the rocker cover yesterday, the car started perfectly but cut out almost straight away whilst in the workshop, and he is still unable to start it again. He says he has spoken to a diesel technician who advised that because of its mileage sometimes the injectors either get ‘locked out’ or would need replacing ?
I’m both shocked and a little angry as it’s always run beautifully and started instantly. Any suggestions?
He’s now implying they may need removing and testing, but why should I be paying for that?
