Ronaldo's Ferrari

WRONG........

However, having driven for 40 years does not automatically make you a good or skillful driver either.
But what it does do is give you the knowledge base that you can then either choose to use........or not as the case may be.
If you choose to use that knowledge, then you will be relatively be a better driver.
If not.................

Anyone who drives for 40 years is alive to tell the story.

Why is it on the internet people feel that they can get away with shouting WRONG at someone else like thats the correct thing to do, would you REALLY do that in real life??

You may choose to disagree but experience, ability and not age have more to do with being a skilful driver , just because he had an accident you are in no position to judge whether he is a skilful driver or not, Ronaldo may spend a great deal of time driving high performance cars around a track he may well be a driving god , who simply made a mistake

It doesnt matter how old you are age does not provide you with automatic experience or make you drive well, look at the Top Gear "Star in a reasonably priced car" didnt Terry Wogan do well

Age however does seem to provide certain people with a similar arrogance to teenagers you tend to find the most aggressive drivers on the road are between 40 and 50 , they are the "You cant tell me anything i've been driving for 30 years" types

I posted WRONG because that was, in my opinion, what the post was.
And yes, if that point was made to my face, that is how I would probably reply.
Why not?

The poster made the statement that "The Number of years driven has nothing to do with skill as a driver".

To me, that is incorrect as clearly a driver who has driven for say 20 years has a vast resource of experience at his (or her) disposal. But I also qualified my reply if you care to read through the posts by saying that those 20 years experience doesn't automatically make a driver skilful either.

It is after all, only ever a matter of opinion and as such is not worth getting in too deep a discussion.
I think we will simply have to agree to disagree.

Number of years driven has nothing to do with skill as a driver.

Your use of 'somebody with good driving skills' isn't really applicable as they will be in the minority as the vast majority of people use cars only as a method of transport with little or no understanding of how cars work or how to drive them well. For example the number of cars in the middle lane of a motorway, most of them willl be middle aged.

I'm Nervous because due to a severence package I'm having my old man sewn back on later.
I have got to choose between the 23 year old surgeon:eek:
Or the Middle aged guy with a lot of experience;)

I know who I'd rather use;)

I'm a Man Utd fan and actually work for the other Portugese Man Utd star, so there is no way I'd be critical of Ronaldo if it wasn't justified.

I think he has just made a mistake and misjudged the power and that is that. That is not to say he can't drive the thing though.

No need to have a go at the lad just because he is wealthier, better looking and has a better lifestyle than most of us.

He seems to have just made a mistake (like we all do).

In football you often hear "Schoolboy Error".
That is a kind way of saying a player is a little inexperienced:)

Like it or not, experience counts in almost everything.

See, that extra age is why he didn't crash ;) :D

Still two team-mates driving to training together in brand new high-performance cars :)

Would have thought Man U would have a Car Sharing Policy where they get an extra 5 pence per mile if they share.

It was reported that the Ferrari was registered in Portugal - wonder if he bought it while living in the UK though - foreign registered cars are immune to speed cameras etc which could be useful; is it legal to use for over a certain length of time on foreign plates ?

Could've been much worse... I mean it could've been a Chelsea player! :D
