Runflat and non-Runflat Tyre Compatibility.

Interesting. How did the handling change?

With the Pirelli’s the rear would break away very easily and the car felt a real handful. Still plenty of tread and this was in the dry. In the wet it was worse! The Goodyear’s much more planted and you have to provoke the car now to misbehave. Just seemed the Pirelli’s had much less grip.

Thank you for that. Hmmm... As I still have a Pirelli on the right rear, perhaps I'd better take left-handers more gently than right-handers.

On the other hand, though, I still have a Michelin PSS on the right front, which probably has a bit more grip than the Goodyear, so I'd better take right-hand corners more gently at the front, and left-hand corners more gently at the rear...

Oh, b****r it! It's all too difficult. Anyone know where I can buy a high-powered estate unicycle? :D

The way they eat the rears you won’t have that Pirelli for long anyway! FWIW I had Michelin on the front. Changed them for Goodyear’s and noticed no difference. Goodyear’s were cheaper hence buying them as well as being happy with them on the rears.
