rust on E class wings

my 2001 E class has rust on the front wings. I've owned 2 E classes, and a C class. all have started to rust prematurely here(IMO), in spite of me taking reasonable care of the cars. (I had a volvo which I treated with the contempt it deserved and never even washed it - it was twice as old, and didn' have a bubble)

guess if I get the rust treated and painted, it'll be back pretty soon.

should I go for a new pair of wings?

really is a big let down on otherwise great cars

Hi and welcome, there is a lot of discussion on this forum on the W210 rust issue, if you do a search you will find loads of info, here is a link that will get you going.

If it is under 8 years old, and had its last service with MB, the likelihood is that they will sort it for you free of charge, although they might want you to own it for 6 months first. If they did not service it last, they might sort it anyway.

My advice would be to take it in asap, and get them to look at it.

Definitely still worth a shout MB worcester (not a million miles from you) sorted my Dad's out, and he did not have full MB history.

It's actually from the launch of the S class.
There is a 30 yr warranty.
I can't remember the date but it is refered to on here many times.
Wait til you read my thread about the rust probs I had
