Rust on SLK

Less than a year old and there are 3 spots of rust on the roof.

Looks to me like stone chips, but I'm still pretty disappointed that they've gone rusty so quickly.

Do you think I have any chance of a warranty claim?

i would say definatly. take to a dealer asap

EDIT: Maybe not as its stone chips - i am not sure if they are covered...

Stone chip damage isn't covered by the MB paint guarantee.

Do the newer SLK's have the latest Mercedes-Benz 'nano' paint? If so I would be very disappointed to have stone chippins on the 'roof'?

These horrible little blemishes should really be treated as soon as you detect them as the warranty only really covers rust coming from the inside out.

This will certainly test your dealers 'goodwill' as I personally do not believe itis covered.
