S205 bonnet star

Hi folks, I want to replace the flat bonnet symbol on my s205 with the more traditional star emblem. Does anyone know if the ones you see for sale on eBay etc will fit? Thanks.

Don't do it. Just doesn't suit the sport grill.

I'm only joking with you anyhow. It's your car, and if you like the look and it's possible then go for it.

However, maybe try elsewhere rather than a cheap eBay item.

JBD (a member here that is a Merc salesman) would know if it's possible or not.

You can't have a double star, it looks gross.

If you want the bonnet star, you've got to get the 'elegance' grille, or whatever it's called, like mine. I don't think they're readily available for the 205 as it's not an option for new cars here, unlike pretty much everywhere else.

I wouldn't do it either, but if I did, shouldn't be too difficult to get an 'Elegance' grill direct from a German dealer or from www.eBay.de ?

A double star, however attractive the idea of a bonnet emblem, is just a big no no.
