S211 E280 LED Interior Lights Question

Hi Everyone,

Looking to upgrade the interior lights on my new to me S211 E280.

However when I put LED lights inside they just come on for 3 seconds then turn off.

Has anyone done this upgrade and experienced this?

How do I get round this?

By "upgrade" I presume you mean brighter?

The car uses a CANBUS system so it might not be detecting enough current draw with the LED bulbs and is turning off the power.

Are the new bulbs CANBUS compatible?

Had same problem with LED reversing lights on CLK 3 different sets none worked.
Put last ones in 190B Ponoton and are no brighter than original bulbs.
If you want to preserve your sanity don't bother.

No idea as I have never felt the need to "upgrade" them.

Lol yes... Bloody stupid really. I'd like to change the rear indicators and brake lights but Merc have decided to solder the f*ckers
