I think i read an article that the 7g gearbox did actually arrive in 2003. It was first made available in the V8 engined cars like the E500 and CL500. Then it filtered down to the 6 cylinder cars. It was on wikipedia though...

There the standard W211 elegance wheel design just bigger in size to accommodate the bigger brakes no doubt.

I had those on my 2004 E500 Elegance estate. Lovely car. Which also had the 7 speed box.

My 04 is 7sp G Tronic, which works perfectly with the V8. That looks like a good car with 105k on the clock. Heated steering wheel too!

That does look like a great car just a shame it has beige interior! Silver on black with always sell on better and look better for longer. Beige looks lovely the day you pick it up from the dealer but I'm sure shows marks and age a lot sooner than black. Just my opinion.

7g on S430/S500 and E500 from late 2002.

It was only the E55K which didn't get the 7g because it wasn't up to the job.
