S211 TV Reception Problems.

I have the freeview digital TV function on my S211 and I've just noticed that it won't pick any channels up.

Any ideas what could be causing this? The DVD and everything else works fine.

Automatically knows that you do not have a tv licence

maybe a bad signal area? happens on mine often.

Are you sure you have a digital freeview tuner? More likely to be the old analogue tuner and if analogue has been turned off in your area you wont get any channels.

Definately have freeview, I could watch E4 etc etc the other week.

I also have th data-card stating digital TV.

Have you tried a full rescan? Does it pick up any digital channel at all?

There is a shopping precinct where the signal is perfect, so I thought I'd try the TV there and it still didn't work.

The picture goes blue with those little tv & sound icons crossed out at the top of the screen, then the screen goes black with a really high pitched sound.

How would I do a full rescan?

I've flicked through all of the channels using the steering wheel controls and I can't get a single channel.

manual is useless. ive never figured out 100% all the functions on the tv

Do you actually use it to watch TV though?

in the car?? on a little 7" screen?

Or is it to watch on the rear screen(s) for kids??

I just say to the missus "you go in and do the shopping, I'll just watch telly out here".....

lol, my kids watch dvd`s in the rear screen. I think i have only watched tv once when i was waiting for the merc garage to open, then i got a low consumer message and it switched off!

Tried a full re-scan and I'm still getting nothing.

AFAIK there is an amplifier for the digital antennas, this could have failed.
