Hello all

The blue barge is now calling for front pads, and the discs I think need doing as well. There is a lip of a good 1mm. I’ve got some prices from MB Newcastle etc but then saw GSF have Brembo discs for £69 which seems a bit of a bargain. They have the cross drilled ones as well as the standard and both seem to be identical in size.

So I was then thinking genuine pads with the Brembo discs (Cross drilled or standard)

Or is it safer to just get the standard kit from MB Newcastle for £222 which is about £60 more?

Any thoughts? I’m overthinking this as usual and being seduced by those cross drilled discs! 🙄

I would think that a 1mm lip would be nowhere near the wear limit.....

Possibly not exactly the same, but in my E350 brake thread, the front Brembos are 32mm wide, with a minimum thickness of 30mm

I think they’re the same size on mine. What I can’t work out is whether the cross drilled discs for the Soorts package brakes are the same/compatible with the standard. All the dimensions seem the same. The cross drilled are now £59 on GSF!
