s320 w220 airmatic issue

Hi All, I hope you can help here.... I'm about to buy a 2001 S320 (W220) but the dealer told me that there is a problem with the airmatic suspension, and what I can ascertain is that the suspension is fine when only 1 or two people are in the car, but when it is loaded, the suspension doesn't work properly.

Now, the problem is that I'm a UK Expat based in the Czech Republic, and there's a language barrier problem, so does what I mentioned above make any sense?

I would look for another car as it will cost a fair bit to fix airmatic parts (depends on which part is required as well). I have just replaced my airmatic pump on my W211 cost approx. £450 all in.

I've just had to do two rear shockers and Airmatic pump - £1250...

I would steer clear (excuse the pun).
