S500 Limo

This guy IS a trader, right? I see no mention of warranty.

When I bought my current car the trader told me I could have no warranty as it was a personal sale from him to me, even though the cheque was made out to the company! Traders are evil, no exceptions.

No mention of "COMAND" also. I hope his exclamation-mark key breaks!

I've seen a few nice cars go thru this guy over the last few months.. anybody heard anything bad about them? their feedback score seems to suggest that they've got a good track record.

It has comand, check the pics :)

This has been mentioned before. Good cars or not he describes them with the enthusiasm and spelling of an excited 10 year old.

Even so I would look at buying from them If there feedback continues as it is. For sure more care should be taken in the adds. But having chatted to them a few time they seem to be genuine & helpful guys.

It doesnt look like a Limo to me, it looks like a normal S class Saloon
It is long wheelbase, that's it. It's actually no more a limousine than my W202.

And a RUSTY one at that!!!

"Mileage: 101000 ....The service book for this car has a total of 4 stamps, all Mercedes main agent of course! It was last serviced at 50k miles."

Not serviced for 50,000 miles

edit...
further down.."There is a lovely service history with 8 stamps in the book right up to 95k miles."

Looks like the service history is negotiable :D

This car is obviously ex-fleet, is unloved and was very likely picked up from an auction for peanuts. Although it has been kept mechanically sound by apparent regular servicing (every 50k miles whether it needs it or not eh Janner? ;) ) the little bits that private owners have to live with have gone untouched, like broken buttons and rusty doors.

If I were selling that car I'd have had the paintwork/corrosion covered up and I'd have replaced the plastic knobs or whatever that were broken in the rear. Probably £100 spent there and could add a lot more to the final sale price, maybe I should make an offer myself and tidy it up for profit? ;)

This one went for £14350. What do you think they will end up with for this one?
That's another classic example!

The condition of the car is on the whole very nice. There are a few points we would like to bring to your attention. Interior is in good condition throughout. The exterior is in good condition save some stone chips on the bonnet, a small parking type dink on the passener side, and a couple of scratchs to the rear bumper, very low down. The autochanger does not work.
The parking dents could be knocked out for £50, the paint work could be covered up for less than £100. The autochanger could be swapped for another or even removed and then not mentioned at all! :)

Wouldn't you be happier buying a car with no obvious faults at all?

Must admit looks in nice clean condition!

think its worth about 9K at the most...

Looks like a nice vehicle. For the price then i think a few faults can be overlooked and fixed by the buyer once purchased,

If it goes for rock bottom then that's just lazy sales technique! They need to take a leaf out of Charles Ironside's book! ;)

Yeah I would guess at fetching £12500 - £13500 £9k would be a bargain.
