Erm opinions please as I have already made enquiries…
Just don’t tell the lady of the residence….

Well , looks very nice , dealer gets good reviews , if service history is as stated then its not a lot of money as long as you have 💰 for the inevitable 😂

Something like that, the sum of it's parts (used) probably adds up to or even more than the asking price.

If you're buying something like that for the hell of it, what's the worst case scenario? Something major fails and you lose £8K less what a Mercedes breaker will give you for it.

That's a smaller loss than the day you drive a new MB out of the showroom. It's just perspective.

I’m going to go against the grain here - what’s the appeal of this car?

W220s are old cars now, they cost a lot to look after years back and I expect nowadays there’s going to be more age related stuff to do as well (rust, brake pipes, electronics etc). Does the 600 still have air suspension or is it on ABC?

V12 can be a world of pain if you’re unlucky - coil packs?

Not keen on the kerbed alloys, cheapskate tyres and AMG badges - even the V12 badge is falling off - stuff like that doesn’t strike me as the sort of hallmarks you want for the previous ownership.

MOT history looks okay recently, but that could be down to where it’s been tested more than the car itself.

We’re all different but I just don’t see the appeal of this sort of car :)

Doug’s not the only one to have that view. There’s plenty of similar reviews out there.

But…. Two buts, actually ….

But One: an S500L is less risky. Cheaper to buy, more reliable and easier to maintain..

But Two: This 26,000 mile S600 is impressive

Seems to have sold for roughly £12k including buyer commission.
Probably great condition and documentation but can never be sure.
Point remains, an S500 would be less than half that price and be much less risky
