hello all!

I'm looking to buy a used W213 E300 Limousine from 2020-2022, but although I'm looking at 99% the same cars, it seems like there is something that's different, the CO2-Emissions!

The exact same model (engine cc, horsepower, transmission) has cars with 159 g/km, 149 g/km even 177 g/km !!!

Since taxation and other fees where I live are based on this, is there an actual difference between those cars?
Am I missing something here?
Is there a hint that points out why each car of the ones mentioned have different CO2-Emissions?
Can I change that or it's tied to the car from the factory?

thank you in advance for your assistance fellows!

Welcome.

CO2 emissions can also be affected by the vehicle's weight (if there are additional options fitted to the car), and wheels and tyres size.

The car's CO2 emissions are measured for the model when new. Changing anything after that won't affect the car's CO2 emissions record at the DVLA.

There may be a way to have your car tested individually for CO2 emissions, I don't know, but even so it will likely be expensive and most likely impractical.

Hi , my C207E400 has 19" wheels and that is in a higher taxation bracket than the model with 18" wheels
