SAT NAV Replacement DVD/CD

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum, so hello.

I've just bought a 2003 CLK Rag Top.

The issue that I have is with the SAT NAV sometimes it says that it can't read the CD, I have ejected it and it does look scratched up a bit, I have seen other posts saying that the laser needs replacing in the head unit. Should I go and buy a new CD from a MB Dealer or just one from Amazon?

A new CD from Amazon is about £99 I suppose that MB will charge 3 times that.

The reason that I ask is because I used to own a BMW and I was forever buying non-genuine parts :fail and well ........that just cost me more in the long run, so I was thinking that if I just spend the money to get original parts in the first place then at least I know that its going to be correct and not some cheap tat.

This is the best place for Comand discs

If you email them your Vin # they will ensure you have the correct disc.

Edit.....All genuine discs and not copies.

Also the SAT NAV is very slow at plotting and taking the address is that to do with the disk or just being on old unit?

Don't really know Nick. Either Mark or Richard at Coman Online can tell you though. Their contact # is on the web page.

Mine isn't the quickest on a 2004 E55 Comand.
