Was planning to update the satnav maps on my newly acquired 2010 C180, but would also like to play music/podcasts through the car's speaker system. I would be grateful for any comments or suggestions on where I may find a more comprehensive upgrade of both satnav and audio. Contacted Command Online who proposed solutions (MB full media interface or iPod kit, both at £££+), but had hoped there might be a more economical 'plug-in' (12V socket) solution for the audio?
Thanks.

You can look at FM transmitters, e.g. Belkin ClearScan, or any of the Chinese products on Amazon and eBay.

Prices range from £10 to £40. They are OK for the money and require no fitting or installation whatsoever.

You can also look at this (which is not exactly what you asked about):

For Mercedes Benz PCMCIA Command System CompactFlash CF Adapter up to 32GB (2) | eBay

With regards SatNav, I am assuming yours is a pre-facelift W204 with COMAND NTG4. You can buy Maps DVD media kits off eBay, just make sure it's an original Mercedes-Benz DVD because a fake one can brick the unit. However, for firmware upgrade you'll need to pay a visit to Comand UK (or to your local MB dealer).
