I have to go to Sheffield tomorrow but I cant find the street on my Audio 50 satnav.....I also cannot find the next nearest street either....they just do not seem to be there. Any ideas?

Its in a 2004/54 C270 and I have a V 9.1 CD

9.1 is almost the current version, so its only a year out of date at the most.

However, my ex wifes road has been built for nearly 7 years and that's not shown on my V9.1 disk either - so it can be significantly out of date.

The data that is used to produce the mapping disks can often be 7-8 years out of date on the back and minor roads. Its only the main roads and motorways that are checked every year.
And its something that most satnavs are afflicted by. Not just COMAND.

The suggestion above is a good idea.

These roads have been there a good long time and should show up.....I had a similar problem finding a road in Bristol not so long ago.....again the road had been there for as long as I can remember (and that's a fair while!)

The companies that produce the data that make the mapping disks often rely on people contacting them to tell them of missing or erroneous data. Specially for minor/back roads.

A good example is the close in which I live is mis-spelt on my V9.1 disk. They have used an "i" instead of an "a" in the name. No big deal, but it could make someone not find my close when using COMAND.
I doubt whether it will get corrected for many years unless I tell them.

But it is not recognising any of the roads in the vicinity, and they have all been there for years....all close to the station in Sheffield

Puzzling...............
With COMAND you can manually move the cursor "target" to wherever you want to go and then click on that location as a way of setting the destination.
Can you do this with your Audio 50?
If you can, then just move the cursor to roughly where you want to go and do it that way. (If you can).

No maps with Audio 50!!

OK.....

Bearing in mind what I said about my own close being mis-spelt............

Are you sure you are getting the spellings correct?

Thats about all my suggestions gone I am afraid.

If you want to post the name of the road nea the station in sheffield I will look it up on my COMAND and see if it exists on my system.
If you want. Its your call.

All the roads I have tried to input have been spelt correctly....
