Thanks very much for all the compliments. It was incredibly difficult speccing this car as I couldn't see a car in this paint finish anywhere in the UK. In the end I just went with instincts and from a small paint chip. I have since realised after seeing it in the flesh that this colour is the same colour as the press car shown in a lot of the launch pictures. This is incorrectly stated as Crystal Silver, when it is not, you will see the similarities with mine if you have a look. Crystal Silver featured on the Edition 1 SL and that is most definitely Matt Iridium Silver. The Alanite is very, very close to a Matt version of Porsche's GT Silver. I'll get my coat..
I can't wait to pick her up early next week once Luke at LG Autoworx has had his grubby little mitts over the car.

Seriously, she is being protected by the new Nanolex range of specialist matt sealants which should help keeping it clean inside and out. Everything I've researched from owners who have this particular paint has said it's actually easier to look after than gloss. We'll see!
One thing I noticed straight away is that the paintwork doesn't mark when you touch it like other matt finishes I've seen including Mercedes Cerrusite colour which just seems to absorb fingerprints. Nightmare. That is not a Designo Magno paint though, not sure what the difference is? Bodes well anyway. I'll post up some pics when it's collected after the detail.
My car is basically a performance pack car, but I deleted the ECU upgrade and replaced the brake "upgrade" (red calipers - lol) with carbon ceramics. PP is ECU flash, LSD, Delimited and PP steering wheel. Reason not to go for PP is two fold, it's £12,000 (!) which is very pricey for an ECU flash and really an LSD as the two major components! So I ordered the LSD and steering wheel seperately, then added the brakes for about the same price.
I also don't want brake fallout marring the matt finish (which can't be polished to remove light scratches) so the carbons will virtually eliminate the chance of that contributing to marring the finish.
German tuners are now getting 700 bhp out of these new 5.5l biturbo engines for a couple of grand or less.. So hence going to the LSD and the brakes in waiting for the time I decide to increase the power!
