screeching noise on turning steering to very end

Car - 2002 (W203) - C180 Petrol Automatic.
When I turn the steering to extreme left or extreme right, it makes a screeching noise.. Sounds like as if some moving metal pieces are striking against each other.
The sound is harsher if front tyre pressure is low.

I showed it to an independent specialist and he said it is not a concern and in any power steering vehicle, I shouldnt steer it to extremes..

I have never seen such an issue with any other power steering vehicle so this noise is putting me off and would like to have it fixed.. Any ideas of what the problem could be?

It shouldn't screech, it sounds like the serpentine belt and/or tensioner is in need of replacement or possibly the PAS fluid needs topping up.

My money is on the belt/tensioner.

Also check the engine mounts
