Screeching sound.

Hi, I have a 2004 E55 AMG.When it gets up to between 2000 and 3500 revs I hear a screeching sound. Sounds like it's coming from a belt maybe?
I also hear a high pitched 'chirp' or whistle for a second or two when I put my foot down on the accelerator.

Not familiar with that model but would guess that your initial thoughts are correct, don't forget to also check the condition of idler bearings etc as these could also affect the condition. GL

Is it worse when it's just been started?

If so, that is likely to confirm the slipping belt theory...

Super charger belt worn. Chirp on giving it beans is the SC clutch engaging and not an uncommon thing and nothing to worry about.
