Just bought a '99 E320 7 seater estate for £4100.00Not bad I thought?Anyway,I cant get the windsreen washers to work.At first I thought it was empty so I topped up the reservoir. The motor seems to be working and water dribbles out from where its supposed to squirt.Ive stuck a pin up the holes incase they were blocked, and it still dribbles. Is it likely to be blocked some where else please?Anyone got any ideas what to do?Its seems a silly thing to take it into a garage for.

Have you checked all the pipework for leaks? Is the pump working properly?

Not sure, but it could be that you made any blockage worse with a pin? I know I did that once and it was cleared with a high pressure airline.

Others will add knowledge I'm sure

I just filled up a my local garage and asked a mechanic to have a quick look.He said the pipe would of probably of popped off in the below freezing condition recently. He undid a couple of panels under the bonnet and low and behold he was right!I would of been there all day with my unmagic pin!

Ive another problem though. The cars battery and been disconnected and the radio wants a code. The code given by MB is incorrect and the previous owner has moved abroad.I think the radios are made by Blaupunkt ( 10 cd front loader). Can I go to a radio dealer who I guess will be cheaper than MB?Or is there some dodgy internet solution?;)

Moved to bodywork.

Please ask electrical questions in the right section.;)

If the radio is the original Mercedes Audio 10 then the code should be right. If the set has been replaced for one other than a OEM one then you will need it decoded.

If it is an Audio 10 then the code will be a five digit code even though there are only four buttons.

I just did a quick Google for Blaupunkt radio codes, and found this:

Have a sniff around the interweb, you never know. Decoding it won't be expensive, although you may want to take the opportunity to upgrade it if you're spending money.
