Section 59

I get the "I pay your wages" thrown at me sometimes. Seeing as I also pay my own wages it becomes a complex area for discussion

I don't mean this in the sense that you must do as I say & everything I say or do is correct. Rather, in the sense that the Police are public servants doing a job, a job I couldn't & wouldn't do. For the most part I support them. I am a citizen of good repute & a reasonable man. I treat them with respect & courtesy AND I EXPECT TO BE TREATED IN THE SAME MANNER.

In my very limited dealings with them I have found this approach works well. I have also told a couple of them off for OTT or highhanded behaviour and to their credit they have reconsidered their approach and amended it.

From the reaction of her colleague & the circumstances it sounds like this young lady cop was going on a bit of a uniform incited power rush. I suggested contacting her supervisor in the hope that he /she would have a quiet word & defuse this apparently unecessarily escalated situation.

It obvious Grav was shopped not by the cows but a member of the public who owned the cows. If you really want to have fun, then join one of these clubs on private land eg Land Rovers club at Waldringfield on my cycle route. I was wondering what the hell they were doing on Sundays every month bumming their Land Rovers on rough grounds near Martlesham.

There was nobody else around near the cows and we were not even anywhere near them.
Why I would want to join a landrover club when I'm into motocross is beyond me.

You've obviously never tried bumming a Landrover on rough ground ;)
Hmmmmm

Trying to picture the scene :o:o:o:o:o

Regards
John

Trying NOT to picture that scene.

Alright, thank you for highlighting the solecism. How about "bumping"?

Did I suggest to Grav to join landrover club? This is the first time I can imagine a cow can lift the phone and called the police:bannana: .

It obvious he has been shopped not by a cow/bull. They can be heard for miles having funny with his bike. Agreed?

Dragon, I am not being rude, but I don't understand this post at all:confused:

Dragon,
No offence intended, what is your first language?

Does it matter? I am lazying under the sun and not taking an exam.

Sometimes it is difficult for people to express the nuances and emotions of conversation when it is written down. Emoticons help, but don't always work.

Therefore, it doesn't matter what your first language is, but it would explain a few things if English isn't your first language.

It's just that if people knew English wasn't your first language & you spoke another as your native tongue they'd be less likely to have a go over little errors that sometimes reduce your posts to borderline gibberish. (Again, no offense intended.)

eg.

I don't know Kent well, the only place I can think off to have a great time with your off road bike is Walberswick on the way to Southwold and some other places I couldn't remember driving along A1.

I just hope for your clients sake that your coding has fewer typos. :D
