Hi all, getting some conflicting advice on what's needed for a service. Is there anywhere on the site that has a list of what's basically due when?

Just for context, it's my C-Class, 87k, 2012 and it's say A3. I've had some saying it's just an oil change, some saying oil and air filter, local Indy is quoting £450 saying it needs air, oil, pollen and cabin. I just want to make sure before I get bent over :)

Well it will always have oil & filter , so an air filter is £15 . Pollen and cabin are the same things on my car (do you have seperate ones ) £15 .
Has the car had a gearbox oil and filter change ?
Brake fluid every 2 years .

Hi, yes, gearbox and brakes done last year. Quote seems high given I can get the air filter for £23, pollen (it's a W@)$, so I don't think it has two?) for £10. £450 seems way too much. They aren't normally that bad. I can do air and cabin myself, so I think I'll save a few quid. Must be using gold plated bits....

Pop your registration number or VIN - along with the mileage - on the Mercedes-Benz Service page and it will tell you exactly what is due at your car’s age and mileage, and will give you a price to do the work. The age/mileage related items are listed including the itemised for each, however they are included in the overall price quoted.

This will tell you what’s due and assumes that previous services have followed the schedule exactly, it won’t take into account any items which might have been done early, late or missed altogether. Top tip, select different dealers to see the variation in pricing, and always select Europa Sheffield as one of the dealers and see if you local dealer will price match them.

If Mobilio breakdown isn’t a consideration to you . You could ask your local MB dealer if they do a 7+ year basic service …I think they are about £150 which will be an oil and filter change (change the cabin & air filter yourself ).
Or get any garage to do an oil and filter change basic service , anything else get the MOT to pick it up .

Maybe they insist on using MB original parts that may be more costly. Just a thought.

Hence the gold plated comment :)

I will check the prices for the parts from main dealer, see the difference. I know (the indie) they used a Bosch air filter last time, £23 online

That's a good option actually, I didn't know they did that, given the car is 14yrs old, that's a good plan

Assuming thar your car was serviced according to the manufacturer's service schedule up to now, and assuming that it didn't do more than 15.5k miles in any given year, this is what the car's service history should look like:

2013 - Service A

2014 - Service B, brake fluid

2015 - Service A, pano roof lube (if fitted)

2016 - Service B, brake fluid, air filter, fuel filter

2017 - Service A, ATF & Filter (if auto)

2018 - Service B, brake fluid, pano roof (if fitted)

2019 - Service A

2020 - Service B, brake fluid, air filter, fuel filter

2021 - Service A, pano roof lube (if fitted)

2022 - Service B, brake fluid, ATF & filter (if auto)

2023 - Service A

This year:

2024 - Service B, brake fluid, air filter, fuel filter, pano roof lube (if fitted)

In the coming years, the following will be due:

2025 - Service B, brake fluid,

2026 - Service A, ATF & filter (if auto)

2027 - Service B, brake fluid, pano roof lube (if fitted), engine coolant change

Your car and both of mine are well into old banger status buddy , so you have the option of deciding exactly what you want servicing and when (and where) .
I have lists on what needs doing on both of mine on my own schedule .

BTW, A3 is Service A plus air filter filter and fuel filter, so either the car has some services not in the correct sequence (e.g. skipped service, or additional service due to high mileage, etc), or the services may have not been correctly updated on the car when done.

Also, the reason that cabin filter (aka pollen filter, dust filter, or charcoal filter) isn't mentioned in the service schedule I posted above, is that for the C-Class it's included with the Service B, I.e. a quote for Service B from a dealer includes the cost of the cabin filter.

Mine had a B last time and is showing A3, Was told the gearbox needed doing last year as to when the previous owner had it done. I did the brake fluid as well given that I'd had the car for nearly 3yrs. :)

I don't remember the Indy doing that last time, so I'll change it myself anyway, that way I know it's done
