If you are the proud owner of A w169 then be aware that a number of these cars fitted with Assyst-plus are calling for a service approx 3000 miles into their life span. One owners having been quoted £150 for an oil filter and oil change after just 3000 miles! what a joke, that's £50 per 1000 miles travelled service costs. Also that there a number of software updates being mentioned by Some MB outlets . MB aren't likely to tell you publicly its bad publicity. I'm afraid it's a case of "You phone us we Won't call you".typical MB.

My R171 went in for a service B at 2300 miles (Jan06) and I paid more than that for my oil (16 month old then).

How soon after delivery is it determining that the first service interval is at 3000 miles ? Just wondering if this affects the T245 as well ... Mine is still looking like it won't need one until its done about 13k miles (1200 miles in ....)
