Hi,
Just bought an Oct 2012 E220 Diesel Auto SE 7G ( never driven an auto B4 ).....36Km...I hope to do 35/yr as a Taxi....over say 4yrs?

What is the usual service interval . ( Costs ) ...AND ....what is the Major Service interval .( costs ).

Can Mapping help MPG on this model? How about DPF removal?

What other issues should I be cautious to look for or expect in regard to using this Model as a full time taxi @ 35 K / yr ?

On Warranty Merc costs 500/yr....is Merc warranty my best option?

Regards,

Servicing is once a year or 10k / 15k miles (depending on the oil and filter type you use).

Expect to pay ~£200 for a 'small' service, called Service A, ans ~£350 for a 'big' service, called Service B, at a dealer.

Service A and B alternate, so if the last service was an 'A', then the next service will be a 'B', etc.

But - the cost of the either the A or B service only covers engine oil and filter.

Anything else is charged on top of the Service A or B cost, e.g.:

Automatic Transmission Fluid change (once at 37.5-40k miles)

Brake Fluid change (every two years)

Air filter change

Fuel filter change

Cabin/Pollen filter change

Coolant change (not normally required unless the long-life coolant was replaced with ordinary coolant)
