shock absorbers for 107

As far as I know the shock absorbers need to be undone to do the front subframe bushes on a 107 (280SL) . I am having the latter job done and wondered about changing the sh. absorbers while its in bits. I note however that even with 20% discount they are £332 a pair from an MB dealer. Does anyone have any thoughts?......eg re the Bilsteins that Europarts advertise at £140 / pair. NM

Bilsteins on the front of mine, with no problems. The shocks do not need to be removed to change the front subframe mounts.
