Shoe marks on interior

From my son kicking the glove box or people hitting the trims with their shoes, I have tried several different products including anything that ‘Autofinesse’ offers.

Has anyone got a good product that works as well as tips how to attack those stains ?

I have used Mequiars super degreaser and a toothbrish on the shoe scuffs you get on the plastic lower base of seat (where everyone's heel tends to hit as they get in/out of the car). It takes a good 15 minutes of wiping, and scrubbing in a circular motion, then more degreaser and try again, but it seemed to work.

I am not sure about the dashboard, as I have never seen shoe marks on a dash. I tend to find zymol leather cleaner good for the worst stains though. It's a thick gel and you apply and work in gentle circles with a microfibre cloth. I don't think its too expensive.

I don't have shoe marks on the dashboard :) Just saying that Mr Sheen once ruined a dash board as we used that once as part of a recommendation ... scuffs are just where you'd expect them .. mainly bottom of door and glove box after son sitting in car seat.

Ok, sorry. Maybe not a wise recommendation, then. I’ll withdraw it. But having said that, I’ve used it on the hard plastic seat surrounds and door thresholds for years with no problem.

I wouldn’t use Mr Sheen on a dashboard though, not the top, anyway, I don’t want that area to shine, too much reflection in the windscreen.

Completely off topic, but that reminds me of when a mate bought his first house 40 or so years ago.

The bath looked a bit sad, so he spent a couple of hours cleaning it and then for the final lustre, polished it with car wax. It looked wonderful, but it was impossible to get into or out of 🤣

Try screenwash on a micro fibre cloth. I find that quite useful on interiors.

Poorboys Natural Look Dressing

Used it for years - cleans and protects. Smells great too.

I find it's not so much about the product, but about using a little nail brush in circular motions

When I was young its was removing heel marks from the headlining that was the issue......I miss those young free and single times!!
