Hi guys,

Many of you will be thinking this is a stupid question, but where is the jack point on a Shogun V63000 ?

On most cars there is a clearly marked position but on my girlfriends 4x4 there is no indication where to ut the jack.

I have a bottle jack with a concaved cup at the top. It doesn't jack up very high so I can't just stick it anywhere.

Also, can the puncture be fixed or is it a new tyre job?

Hope you can help.

This is a MB forum. Maybe you should try a Mitsubushi one.

Otherwise look in the hand book as it will show it there. Or jack iy up on a suspension arm but be careful.

Cant help on the shogun jack, but punctures in the tread section can normally be fixed OK, but any damage to the sided wall and the tyre is scrap

Japanese 4x4's can come with some of the poxiest screw type bottle jacks you will ever see. Hard work and useless to the point of being dangerous.

You need a decent flloor jack with a minimum 3 ton capacity and absent clear jacking points general rule for 4x4's with ladder frame and solid rear axle is to lift off the ladder frame side rails for the front wheel and off the axle shaft as near to the wheel concerned as you can safely get for the rear.

The other reason you need a decent jack is that this type of 4x4 should have the tyres rotated every 3-5k miles to even out the wear patterns.

And yes, you should be here:
