Cleaning the inner rim surface of my alloys and I was thinking if they were painted black it wouldn't show the dirt/brake dust.

Where the balance weights have been fixed and replaced it's looking tatty. Perhaps a refurb and a black finish would look good?

That's what they have done to the 18" wheels on the new Golf GTI...suits that car - not so sure about a S203 though...

I know what you mean.. but they look black most of the time anyway!!

must be very quiet in wiltshire if this is at the top of your list of things to do! :)

We're waiting for the full moon...

I've thought about this before too, if you go ahead, put some pictures up.

Really thinking this would be a good move....

Why not take one off and paint it black with emulsion paint first to see how it would look ?

Or just wait a week?

No, good idea. Must admit though, I have never removed a wheel before.. :o

i was at Wheel Works in Crawley today on a GTG with the MBOC, interesting stuff as they powder-coat prime, then paint, then powder-coat lacquer. A very sophisticated operation. I mentioned this idea to him, he reckoned you'd have to paint the wheel black first then black-chrome the areas you wanted back to silver. Too complex for me !
