Side light indicator on dash.

Hey guys,

The symbol for sidelights doesn't seem to illuminate on my instrument cluster.

Has anyone experienced this?

Yes I have the same issue. Dealer I spoke to looked at it for me and forced the system to light all lights in the dash at which point it lit up.

Conclusion given was that it's not designed to work, having done some checks myself it does appear to be true that a lot models don't have the side lights working in the dash.

However, some of the latter models '63/14' plates seem to have it working.

What I suspect is that it's a software update they bought in. It used to bug me but now have just got used to it.

Well that's is so silly. My 63 plate did light up and the 13 plate I have no doesn't. The dealer have said it might be because the car doesn't have that option. Seems silly to me as it's a a basic feature that all cars have.

Things like this really bug me as I am mega ocd. :-(

The sound system in my 13 isn't as good as the 63 plater. Did they upgrade the systems?

Yep I'm OCD as well!!!!!!

As for the sound system, not sure but it depends on whether you had Harmon Kardon option?

Also, not sure if the standard Comand system is different to just the Audio 20 system as well?

Both cars have the same audio 20 with CD changer. The only difference is the 63 plate had a media interface thing in the armrest. The 13 plate only has an Aux next to the USB.

I've got it booked in next week because I feel like something is up with the head unit or speakers. It distorts a lot more compared to the old car.
