Looking to buy the car with reg above X511 CTA with no log book and service history at one of the auctions and just wondering if anyone from here knows anything about it.

Hardly a rare car so unlikely for anyone to know - just do a HPI check and pay what you think is reasonable.

You can also try and call Merc - they should tell you if it's been serviced with them off the reg or the VIN.

Plus 1 for a check with Mercedes, my local dealer told me loads about my W205 CLK55 after I brought it which the HPI just could not offer. If the car has had any kind of dealer history, it will be on record and give you a starting point.

Good luck if you do decide to take the plunge.

Has that other CLK gone to the scrappers yet? It might still prove a good source of parts.

Hi Greg!
Mercedes says the has to be registered on my name before they give me any info.
Anyway did a hpi just one owner no records of been scraped or stolen
Mot till end of 2015 sounded good and went for it.
Won it and collected today apart from the normal rust spots on the wings and rear quarters looks and sounds good.
Unfortunately no log book or service records but found some papers with previous owner details going to contact him soon. Looms like it was decated and the middle box removed so must be someone from here)
It was o private plate VSK209.

Possibly would need to be black or tanzanite though and in pretty good condition...

Will be very hard to find I might respray mine in black sorted all the rusts, done the suspensions like arms springs long story short needs only a respray and its a cat c because of the accident I had last year but fixed all good now.
