sl 107 heater not getting hot

Hi, my sl 107 heater is blowing fine but not getting hot at all, is there any checks I can do myself?:bannana:

I take it the car is getting to running temperature?

Open the bonnet and look towards the bulkhead at the back. Slightly posistioned to the right [this is when you are looking at the bulkhead] you will see the heater control valve. Its round a black with a rod attached to it. You need to see this lever move when the control rod is moved from hot to cold.
This valve needs to move. It is operated by the vacuum pipe attached to it.

The rubber end pieces (the U shaped bit in the picture) have a habit of splitting, destroying the vacuum and so stopping things from working.

Check both ends carefully for splits and for a good tight fit.
