Does anyone know how many, if any, body panels from a SL (R107) would fit a SLC of the same year? I am told that wings etc are expensive for this model of SL and I have the opportunity to buy a SLC cheap (very). I wonder if it is worth speculating.

The front wings are the same - the rear wings are different - as is the boot and roof section etc. An original front wing is about £240 - a factor part half that. Have a look here:

stats 007 has it right. 107s are the same except for the obvious difference in length. To double check on any individual part you could always call a main dealer or Merc HQ in Milton Keynes.

If you need a new bonnet, original fitting was alloy, the replacement part is now steel so a donor car may give you the original.

Alloy bonnets only came in on the later cars and are much much more expensive than the steel variety.

Many thanks for the info.
