SL60 ebay

Looks like good value, probably a future classic and as such I expect it will have almost bottomed out in price by now.

I think they were rumoured to be putting out closer to 400+bhp from the multi-valve M119, slightly more than stated when new?

Could be a good buy for someone if the bidding stays sensible :thumb:

I think if I was after such a car, I'd want better photos than those, which look like they were taken in the office car park at lunchtime. It doesn't take 5 minutes to take a car somewhere for some decent photographs.
Very nice car though, and undoubtedly a future classic.

Yep - always amazes me that people won't take 30 mins or whatever to take some proper photos when they're trying to sell cars for thousands of ££££s, it's a pretty small task compared to the endless viewings/timewasters etc.

It is nice, shame it's silver and has no panoramic roof.

Silver actually suits the R129 quite well, it's historically used for sporting MBs and they used silver on some of the R129 specials - Mille Miglia, Silver Arrow etc :thumb:

I like it that silver has loads of historical implications for Mercedes, I just find it a tad dull, especially as we've had a glut of silver cars, of all makes, over the last ten years.

Saying that if it had a blue interior that would be a great combination (I'm sure there's a historical connection with silver/blue for Mercedes, just can't think where at the moment) and the only time I could really consider a silver car.

Yep - but 'glut' = popular :thumb:

It's a good colour for a Mercedes. I was never that excited about silver myself in the past, but it's a good long-term choice

It only looks dull when it's not been nicely polished and waxed, perhaps more often overlooked on light coloured cars as they don't show dirt and swirls as much as darker shades? :)

This car was 17 years old, largely original paintwork wise and had 130k under it's belt - still looks great :)

Same colour code (744 Brilliant Silver) but admittedly a few years younger:

I'd not change the colours on those cars one bit :bannana:
