Took the SLK 350 on holiday to East Kent last week, weather very favorable for top down motoring every day
. Covered just under 500 miles with a mix of motorway (from/to East Anglia), A and B roads and some town driving around Broadstairs, Ramsgate etc.
Unfortunately on the return journey, we got caught up in 1.25 hour hold up from the A2 in Kent over to Essex M25, could see my average MPG dropping on the computer

Nevertheless, did a brim to brim calculation the next day and she came out at 30.4 MPG. (OBC was reading 31.6). Obviously I didn't buy this car for economy, but there's something really satisfying in getting such a good return! Takes my overall average for the 9 months I've had it to 29.4.
