I don't think there are any official pics for the announced SLK55 AMG model yet, so during a bored moment I decided to make one myself .

I wonder if the real thing's going to have a darker strip across the rear lamps like the SL55 AMG does .

Also, tried your PS guide to changing a car colour. What do you think? Bit dodgy around the edges, but otherwise not too bad (Sorry about the thread hijack!).

You can avoid the dodgy bits around the edges by creating more points on the selection, or you could use the clone method like I do for pixel-perfect images .

hehe - er, I used the clone method but still found even highly zoomed in that I couldn't get my edges good. Must be a knack I guess...

I wasn't far off with the front bumper, sideskirts or the rear lamps was I?

The only difference really is the little vents on the sides of the front bumper, which IMHO are kinda ugly! I'm sure those wheels will be optional alongside the styling IVs I put on my pic.

Is it me, or do all the AMG cars shown above appear either in Tealite Blue or have had a blueish tint applied to the pic. so they do not look......Silver!

No - its just to show the beautiful way that Silver reflects the ambient light around it . . . I think some of those AMG cars are in Designo Silver, (far more exclusive than our boring 744 "Brilliant" Silver shade . . .) - anybody know what the difference is ?

What a relief. For a terrible moment I thought Tealite Blue was about to become the new Silver
