This is just a theoretical question (got into work a bit early and a bit bored lol) but would it be possible to fit the turbine alloys from a mclaren slr onto a c class?

Just trying to imagine how stupid or amazing they would look if fitted to my sportcoupe lol.

Would it ever work without major wheel arch mods?

There would most certainly be a decrease in acceleration time due to the added weight and inertia right?

Not ever going to try it as 1 they are too expensive and 2 im quite happy with the 16s on the coupe as they are lol but just curious.

You could purchase 2 brand new A Class for the cost of a set of 19" 16 spoke SLR wheels.

lmao even with the replicas you would probably get a superb amount of wheel rubbing on the inside or the arches.

i wonder how popular they would be if dealers offered them as optional extras on their new models? would be a hefty upgrade cost lol.

Plenty of people with Bentley wheels on their VW/Audis (and they can look good), not seen any Veyron wheels on a Touran yet though :D

2bh i dont actually think the veyron wheels are actually that flashy. They just look a bit like the type of wheels you would find on a people carrier but gigantified a bit lol. i quite like the alloys on the sls amg.

Seeing how wheels are a service item on the Veyron (no, really), you've got to wonder how long before they start appearing on more and more cars.

I think they'd work on a beetle, myself..

Yes i suppose they would. Thats precisely what i mean though...thats the sort of car you would expect them to look good on.
