SLR Wheels

Hmm - prefer the original look IMHO.

I genuinely saw a very tasty looking black SLR roadster waiting to cross and turn on the A40 earlier today. Sunny early afternoon, looked the part with the roof down, private plate (looked like 'KNOB' or something :o ), McLaren badges gleaming on the wings- I had the window open and as he pulled away you got the full 'spitfire' music with a hint of tyre scrabble and very quickly it vanished!

Seen a few parked over the years, MB World etc and a couple driving past, but it's the first one I've ever seen on the road 'giving it some'!

who would do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!it looks so...............

I'm surprised the dvla sold him that plate

The proprietor of that business is Pakistani so the no chance he's trying to make any reference to the KKK. His surname is khan hence the plate, he recently bought the plate F1 for about £300k.

The owner of Project Kahn you mean...

Same style of wheels as Mac has aren't they ?

They look alright on Macs S class , but terrible on the SLR ...

You know what they say .... ' just because you can , doesn't mean you should '

Terrible ...

Which is ironic given they're Kahn's hideously expensive carbon fibre wheels.

Not an improvement. Althought the original SLR wheels could do with a lift.
But there are an awful lot worse.............

Have to agree with most folk and say they are a mistake. They just seem to take all the attention away from the car when you look at it.

Having see that car in the flesh i can confirm the wheels do look very wrong IMO

The only saving grace with that particular sale is that he's selling the car with the "standard" Turbine wheels and you can pay a premium for the ones in the picture :D

It is KKK the plate btw
