I have an annoying thing that when I turn in my ML there is a clunk noise like there is a notch in the steering column, the steering column was replaced before I bought the car by MB dealer. Any ideas wheat this could be, it's beginning to annoy me. It doesn't happen at any particular point either and some times will not happen other time does it as soon as I steer out of a parking space. Someone I know said it's normal but I doubt it.
Any advice will much appreciated.

Sounds like a track rod end or ball joint knocking to me.

I just spent a while searching on google and found a site with a list of common faults on Mercedes when they after 100k milles, it described exactly the symptoms I have and it said most likely bad tie end rods, as mentioned above. If this is the problem, how difficult is it for a garage to sort out and what sort of cost am I looking at.
